Erich Midigo

Founder and Executive Director

Dr. Erich Midigo is a licensed Public Health Nutritionist and accomplished social entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience managing international projects, conducting research, and leading social and policy advocacy efforts. He holds a Master of Science in Dietetics with a specialization in Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN), and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Pretoria.


As a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Erich is deeply engaged in global research. His doctoral work is part of the USAID Feed the Future Food Processing Innovation Laboratory (FPIL) project, which focuses on the sustainable reduction of post-harvest losses in Feed-the-Future countries, including the USA, Senegal, Kenya, and South Africa. His research explores innovative technologies that link farmers to markets, addressing key challenges in agricultural value chains.


In addition to his academic pursuits, Erich is a published author in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and Public Health and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Qualitative Health Research (SAGE Publishers). His expertise in public health nutrition, coupled with his leadership in social entrepreneurship, positions him as a key advocate for nutrition, food security, and policy development on a global scale.
